Descriptions

    • The course is designed to allow the students to think, assess and articulate about how projects are done in their own environments, how new ideas can change the way projects are managed and how organizational shared values or cultures, strategies, systems, structures, staff, skills, and management styles  influence the development, implementation, and outcomes of projects. Upon completion of the course, the students will come to understand that there is a logical process that underlies all project management work, and that the principles underlying this process, with proper adaptation, can be applied to virtually any type of project.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

A project is a unique (non-routine) organizational undertaking with a specific, well-defined result, which must be accomplished through a series of interrelated activities, according to a set of clearly defined performance expectations, within a definite schedule, and within a budgetary limit. Projects may be vital to the continuous improvement of the company’s quality, productivity, and competitive position. To be successfully implemented, competent project management is essential. In this light, project management has become a strategic competency, one of the most important competencies that senior managers need to develop.

The course introduces the students to the basic elements of managing different kinds of projects in such a way that technical and quality requirements are met and completed within the required schedule and within the allocated budget.
